...Just past the entry is a lofty and impressive atrium space filled with light, color and excitement. Sponsor banners, executed in a period motif, are suspended above archetypal cars that symbolize the evolution of racing and the racers.

..The brick pavers bearing the names of donors and other supporters are used to pave the entry pavilion.

...The Georgia Racing Heritage graphic wall presents all the different types of racing in Georgia. This wall will depict the heritage of racing in Georgia in the display of a large montage of racing images as well as many Georgia racing artifacts, license plates and street signs. These items will be hung from the ceiling, pinned off the wall and imbedded in the floor. There will also be three monitors in the wall playing highlights and even live races from Georgia oval tracks, road courses, and drag strips.

 

The Georgia Racing Heritage scrapbook wall spotlights the personalities, technical innovations, drivers, mechanical wizards, outlaws, showdowns and legends as they happened in Georgia. Milestones will be displayed in scrapbook format on the wall. Three computer terminals allow guests to delve into the Thunder Road Archives or visit the many racing related web pages. Three overhead monitors allow other guests to see this information as well.

..The "Saturday Night Races" introductory theater is designed to recall a vintage drive-in, featuring a looped video containing early racing footage from around Georgia's many tracks. It's intended to give you a quick orientation to the intense, take-no-prisoners action that characterized these Saturday night contests.

...Entering the Hall of Fame, the guests are totally surrounded by sights and sounds suggesting the motion of a vehicle speeding down a dark country road. A white line speeds toward them as they hear rushing wind and tires on pavement. A false perspective created by diminishing portals (abstract metal silhouettes of tree and foliage, dramatically lit) makes the road seem to stretch into the distance. Above the horizon, a full moon glows in a field of stars. The illusion disintegrates as the guests move forward to explore the exhibits in the room, including photos trophies relating to the Hall of Fame inductees.
